Midwest Snow For Early Week

Light snow will cover the southern Plains through western and northern Midwest Monday. The snow will produce transportation disruptions for grain and livestock, and will cause stress on cattle in feedlots. We may also see some freezing precipitation in the southern Plains, which will add to the difficult circumstances.

Highs: Single digits/teens Canadian Prairie, northern Plains; 20s/30s central and southern Plains, Midwest, Texas Panhandle; 40s/50s western and northern Texas,, Delta; 60/70s central and southern Texas, Deep South.

In South America, a few showers are indicated in northern Argentina. Otherwise, dry conditions are in place for Monday morning. We have noted improved rain and milder temperatures during last week in Argentina; and in Brazil, a brief spell of hot weather in the south is ending. Crop conditions in South America continue to be generally favorable.
