Corn Arrives at N.C. Ethanol Plant

About 9,000 bushels of corn arrived by truck at the Hoke County, N.C., ethanol plant Friday, reported the Fayetteville (N.C.) Observer, and another 500,000 bushels are on the way before the plant starts production in mid-to-late April. Production is expected to start slowly at the Clean Burn Fuels LLC plant. The plant expects to produce about 60 million gallons of ethanol and 175,000 tons of dried distiller grains in its first year. The plant was set to begin production in January but faced weather-related construction delays.
