Spot ethanol prices were mixed Thursday as traders weighed oversupply against a gasoline futures rally. Government data showed ethanol fuel inventories rose for the sixth straight week to a 2 1/2 year high of 21.0 million bbl during the week-ended Jan. 30. Sources said prompt ethanol at the Argo supply hub traded at $1.35 and $1.36 per gallon for a 1.0 cent loss while February anys for Argo traded at $1.37 and $1.39 per gallon. This week delivered Northern California ethanol traded at $1.58 per gallon, up 3.0 cents.
