Over half the producers responding to a DTN poll say their corn is likely to mature 2 weeks earlier than normal, and another 21 percent say it's a week early.

Those numbers line up well with state crop progress reports that came out Monday. USDA will start reporting harvest progress next week.

Some big differences between this year's percent harvested and the 5-year average, with the exception of Texas, where 37 percent of the corn is harvested, compared to a 59-percent average. Elsewhere, Arkansas is nearly 75 percent complete vs 33 percent average, Mississippi is also nearly 75 percent complete ...
