At the Davidson family farm in northeast Nebraska we decided to harvest corn and cobs plus husks this fall. When the technology started giving us fits at harvest, I was told to forget the cobs and just take out the corn because it was getting late and the corn was much more valuable. I strongly resisted this suggestion because I had a customer who was counting on the co-product and I could not let him down.
