EPA Says Science Will Guide Process

COLUMBIA, Mo. (DTN) -- Groups on both sides of the atrazine safety issue pulled few punches this week in displaying their feelings at the Environmental Protection Agency's review of the popular corn herbicide.

Farm groups and atrazine maker Syngenta openly questioned the political motives behind the call for yet another scientific review following the full EPA reregistration of the herbicide in 2006.
