Eco-Energy Inks Ethanol Marketing Deal With Dakota Spirit
STREATOR, Ill. (DTN) -- Eco-Energy, a biofuel supply chain company, has signed a multiyear deal with Dakota Spirit AgEnergy in Spiritwood, N.D., that is scheduled to begin production in early 2015.
"Our team is excited to partner with the great team at Dakota Spirit AgEnergy," said Chad Martin, CEO of Eco-Energy in a news release Tuesday, July 29. "We continue to add gallons to our platform to generate economies of scale for independent ethanol producers."

"The team at Eco-Energy has been a valuable ethanol marketing partner at our Blue Flint Ethanol facility and we are excited to be expanding that relationship to Dakota Spirit AgEnergy," said Jeff Zueger, chief operating officer of Dakota Spirit AgEnergy.
Eco-Energy now markets for 20 plants across the North America and handles more than 10% of the ethanol market.

CHS Acquires Illinois River Energy 133 MMGY Ethanol Plant
STREATOR, Ill. (DTN) -- CHS Inc. said Wednesday, June 4, in a news release it acquired Illinois River Energy LLC and its 133-million-gallon-per-year ethanol plant from Sinav Limited of London, England. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
CHS, based in St. Paul, Minn., markets renewable fuels to energy customers across the United States and through 1,400 Cenex-branded retail petroleum outlets, including more than 1,000 Cenex convenience stores, and markets dried distillers grains with solubles globally on behalf of more than 20 ethanol plants across the U.S.
CHS Inc. is a global agribusiness owned by farmers, ranchers and cooperatives across the U.S.
