JOHNSTON, Iowa (DTN) -- Although many farmers are faced with snow piles and drifts across their fields and farmyards, it is time to do some thorough planning for the upcoming season.
Jim Trybom, Champaign, Ill.-based agronomy research scientist with Pioneer Hi-Bred offered tips to growers who are finally knocking off the cobwebs after the long winter night. Trybom spoke at a recent Pioneer media event in Johnston.
Trybom emphasized that growers cannot ignore the yield potential of soybeans, and they need to remember that it is higher than they realize.
