Ontario's farmers had tried to be proactive about finding a science-based solution where everyone could win regarding dealing with pollinator bees' mortality caused by neonicotinoids. (DTN photo by Pam Smith)
Last week Ontario's provincial government announced it wanted to reduce the use of neonicotinoids on corn and soybeans by 80% by 2017. Almost on cue, Ontario farm country erupted in anger.
