Spot Ethanol Prices Gain on Higher Corn, RBOB Futures

U.S. spot ethanol prices moved higher in choppy early trade Monday on higher corn and RBOB futures on the Chicago Board of Trade and the New York Mercantile Exchange, respectively. Prompt ethanol at Argo traded early at $1.38 gallon and talked at a $1.38 to $1.40 gallon bid/ask, up 2.0 cents, with March delivered product talked at $1.43 gallon. Rule 11 Chicago ethanol traded at $1.42 gallon. New York Harbor February barged ethanol was discussed at a $1.49 to $1.53 gallon bid/ask for a gain of 4.0 cents. Prompt Northern California was valued at $1.60 gallon, up 3.0 cents for the session.
