Spot Ethanol Values Discussed Lower on Oversupply
Spot ethanol values extended lower for the third straight session Thursday on burgeoning inventories and unfettered product shipments to most of the nation's hubs despite a snowstorm that hit the Northeast region earlier this week.
The storm had a bigger impact in New England than anywhere else. Prompt Argo ethanol was talked at a $1.30 to $1.33 per gallon bid/ask, down 3.0 cents, while New York Harbor prompt ethanol was talked at $1.45 per gallon, down 2.0 cents, and Northern California prompt ethanol was pegged at $1.51 per gallon, down 3.0 cents on the day.
