Spot Ethanol Prices at Argo, California Gain on Tight Supply

Spot ethanol prices scaled higher Monday as supply continues to tighten in key trade hubs partly due to inadequate railcar capacity for product shipment. "It's been strong in Arizona," a trade source said "Railcars are tight, delivery slow." In-tank transfer Argo ethanol traded at $1.84 per gallon for a 3 cents gain while prompt delivered ethanol in northern California was talked 2 cents higher at $2.06 per gallon.
