Spot Ethanol Values Slump on Rising Domestic Supplies

Spot ethanol prices were talked weaker Wednesday after the U.S. Energy Information Administration detailed weekly inventories climbed 100,000 bbl to a fresh 2 1/2 year high of 21.1 million bbl while demand eased 4,000 bpd to 826,000 bpd.

Prompt Argo ethanol was valued at $1.40 per gallon, down 1.5 cents. Chicago Rule 11 ethanol for this week shipment was valued at $1.43 per gallon, down 2.0 cents. New York Harbor, February barged ethanol was discussed at a $1.52 to $1.54 per gallon bid/ask spread for a loss of 2.0 cents.
