NYH, Argo Spot Ethanol Prices Down as Supply Worries Recede

Spot ethanol prices traded lower Tuesday on expectations government data to be released Wednesday would show another weekly build in United States ethanol fuel inventories while demand continued to weaken.

Today transfer ethanol at Argo near Chicago traded at $1.90 and $1.91 per gallon. Prompt Argo prices have since traded $1.88 per gallon this afternoon, down 14 cents. December New York Harbor barge was talked at $1.93 to $2.0 per gallon bid/ask, down 6.5 cents on the day.
