Brazilian Customs Strike Enters 12th Day

Brazilian soybean exports are falling off, but it is in peak corn export season. Without certificates issued by inspectors -- who continue to strike -- many corn and soybean shipments cannot leave port or will encounter problems at destination. (DTN photo by Marcia Zarley Taylor)
Brazil's farm customs strike entered its 12th day with grain and meat exporters complaining of mounting backlogs. However, after fruitful talks, the customs inspectors union expects a resolution to the dispute by the end of the week.
