Spot Ethanol Prices Mixed in Thin Trade
Spot ethanol prices were mixed Thursday with a lack of conviction reported in the cash market, with ethanol sandwiched between higher corn futures and lower RBOB futures.
Prompt transfer ethanol at the Argo hub near Chicago traded at $1.52 per gallon and was later discussed at a $1.55 to $1.56 per gallon bid/ask, up 1.5 cents. New York Harbor April ethanol barges were talked at $1.635 to $1.65 per gallon bid/ask for a 0.75-cent loss. Spot Arizona ethanol traded 2.0 cents up, at $1.72 per gallon. Northern California ethanol was valued $1.70 per gallon, down 1.0 cent on the session.
