Spot Ethanol Prices Lower as Weekly Supply is Eyed

Spot ethanol prices were flat to lower early Tuesday ahead of supply data from the Energy Information Administration for the week-ended March 20 due out Wednesday. The report is expected to show a build in U.S. inventory, which was last reported at 20.8 million bbl, 5.5 million bbl or 36% above the comparable year-ago period.

Prompt Argo ethanol was down 0.5 cents at a $1.46 to $1.50 per gallon bid/ask while April ethanol prices were talked at a $1.47 to $1.495 per gallon bid/ask.

Northern California prompt ethanol traded at $1.69 per gallon for a 1.5-cents loss, while Florida prompt ethanol prices were talked 19.5 cents over Argo prices.
