OMAHA (DTN) -- Continued dry harvest conditions in the Midwest, and limited rain in central Brazil, are the primary weather items for the commodity trade's attention Tuesday.

MIDWEST TO STAY DRY

The DTN ag weather forecast calls for favorable dry conditions for row crop harvest during the next five to seven days in the Midwest. There is a chance for frost and light freeze conditions during the coming weekend. However, this is not that unusual for this date. Rain chances may increase somewhat during the six-to-10-day day period.

LIMITED SOUTHERN PLAINS RAIN

Southern Plains crop areas need more rain for early wheat development. The chance for rain may increase somewhat during the six-to-10-day day period, but probably only for eastern areas.

DELTA DRYNESS CONTINUES

The Delta continues with a dry pattern for harvest. Soil moisture issues are forming regarding winter wheat.

BRIEF COOLER TREND FOR CENTRAL BRAZIL

In central Brazil, a brief round of milder weather is in store through Wednesday. High temperatures return Thursday. The pattern remains mostly dry as well. Rain is needed to support early planted crops and to encourage more widespread planting.

RAIN CONTINUES IN SOUTHERN BRAZIL

In southern Brazil, heavy to very heavy rains will again affect crops in this region. Rain slows early planting of corn and soybeans and is unfavorable for wheat, especially for maturing wheat and wheat harvests.

LIMITED BRAZIL COFFEE RAIN

Mostly hot and dry conditions cover Brazil coffee and sugarcane areas. Flowering coffee trees and developing sugarcane are somewhat at risk from this weather pattern.

MORE DRYNESS FOR RUSSIA

There continues to be little hope for rain in very dry areas of east Ukraine or in Russia north of the Caucasus region for at least another seven days.

DRY FOR AUSTRALIA WHEAT

Across Australia, rain and cooler weather are needed to help ease stress to reproductive and filling winter wheat. Very little rain is indicated for this week. Rain chances improve in western and southeastern areas next week.

LIGHT SHOWERS FOR SOUTH AFRICA

South Africa continues with a forecast for light rain showers later this week. However, this does not appear to be the start of a regular rainfall pattern.
