Recent Rise in Corn Prices Spurs Some Fertilizer Wholesalers to Buy DAP, MAP for Fall Fill Needs

DAP prices for New Orleans, Louisiana, barges moved up slightly during July, trading at $425 to $430 per short ton early and rising to $433 to $438 late. Demand is entering a seasonally slow period, but the recent run-up in corn prices is giving some large wholesalers enough confidence to begin making purchases for fall fill needs.
