OMAHA (DTN) -- This year I tested several machinery technologies on my farm in northeast Nebraska. It was a lot of installations and learning for one year -- maybe even too much for five years.

We all want to invest in new technology to improve efficiency, productivity and profitability. To get those benefits, we must first be able to install it and learn to use it. More importantly, we have to remember how to use it from one day to the next, one week to the next and one season to the next.
