The chart shows a history of December corn prices divided by the previous year's cost of production, excluding land. As of Monday, September 8, December corn closed at $3.48 1/4, 8% above last year's cost of production which is a historically cheap value, even with a record harvest anticipated.
Corn is headed for a record harvest, but prices should be getting close to their lows.
