Moldy Beans

With such a wet and cool fall there was a risk of soybeans becoming moldy in the field. However if our recent poll question reflects reality, it was a minor problem. However for some growers with problems, any loss is significant.

Moldy soybean pods

So I asked the poll question "Have you harvested moldy soybeans this fall?"

70% said none so that tells me it was a small regional problem at most.

11% said yes but only some fields

11% said yes and every field had some moldy seeds

And 7% said no, even though the pods appeared moldy
