Regional Storage Issues

In a recent poll on DTN, nearly 40 percent of those responding indicated they expect to have room to store 75 to 100 percent of this year's fall harvest, and another 22 percent said they will have room for at least half their crop; about 25 percent have room for no more than 1/4 of the crop.

The DTN Cash Wheat indexes leaped above $6 to close out the week ahead of the Labor Day holiday, and the corn index once again topped $4.

Informa: Sep Corn 164.8 bpa, Beans 44.1 bpa

Informa Economics told clients Friday it expects USDA will peg corn production in September at 164.8 bushels per acre, and soybeans at 44.1 bpa, and it also released a "mostly likely final estimate" of the crop size and yield for corn.
