Big World Ending Stocks Numbers

World corn stocks surged to over 140 million metric tons, up 6 MMT from USDA's Feb. tally, according to the March S&D report just released. But there were some other numbers that also may give analysts a little to chew on.

World soybean ending stocks inched up to over 60 MMT, as USDA was not shy about upping its estimate of Brazil production by another 1 MMT.

US numbers -- hikes in corn and wheat ending stocks to above the high end of pre-report estimates. A cut in soybean ending stocks was as expected.

Check DTN's home page on the web for more of the numbers, and for a link to a quick audio review of the reports coming up in about an hour, featuring DTN Senior Analyst Darin Newsom and DTN Basis Analyst Bob Bailey.
