Spot ethanol prices were shallowly mixed in a choppy session Thursday as lower corn futures weighed against higher RBOB futures.

Prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo hub near Chicago was talked at a $1.38 to $1.40 per gallon bid/ask, up 0.25 cents. New York Harbor February ethanol barges traded at $1.465 per gallon, down 0.5 cents.

This week delivered ethanol in California traded at $1.54 per gallon and was then bid at $1.55 while offers were penciled at $1.59 per gallon, down a penny. This week delivered Arizona ethanol traded at $1.54 per gallon for a gain of 1.0 cent.
