Cash Ethanol Lower With Corn Futures as Weekly Supply Eyed
U.S. spot ethanol prices were lower Tuesday afternoon although recovering from steep losses early in the session. Cash ethanol prices had fallen alongside Chicago Board of Trade corn futures, but the losses were trimmed as traders looked forward to weekly ethanol supply report from the Energy Information Administration. This week delivered ethanol cargo in Arizona traded at $1.785 gallon, down 9.5cts, while ethanol in Northern California is now valued unchanged at $1.77 gallon. Prompt ethanol at Argo near Chicago traded at $1.60 gallon while New York Harbor was valued at $1.72 gallon, down 2.5cts.
