Spot Ethanol Values Tumble with Corn, Gasoline Futures

U.S. spot ethanol prices dropped again Wednesday, falling between 2.0 cents and 6.0 cents in a thinly-traded early session on speculation a federal report for the week-ended May 22 would show another ethanol production increase.

Prompt transfer ethanol at the Argo terminal traded at $1.52 per gallon, down 3.5 cents, with Chicago ethanol under Rule 11 traded at $1.54 per gallon, down 3.5 cents.

New York Harbor May delivered ethanol barges traded at $1.62 per gallon, down 2.0 cents. Ethanol for this week transfer in northern California was assessed at $1.69 per gallon, down 6.0 cents.
