Argo Spot Ethanol Slumps on Talk of Excess Supply
Spot ethanol prices plummeted in early trade Tuesday amid talk of rising supply and soft demand. Near-term transfer Argo ethanol traded at $1.47 per gallon, down 7.5 cents and a three-month low, while any January prices traded at $1.50 per gallon. Chicago ethanol traded under Rule 11 changed hands at $1.47 and $1.45 per gallon for a 14-cents loss.
