U.S. spot ethanol prices traded higher in Chicago and the West Coast Thursday, boosted by Energy Information Administration data released Wednesday showing ethanol stocks fell 177,000 bbl to 18.651 million bbl last week, down from an 18-month high at 18.8 million bbl posted a week prior. October Argo transfer ethanol was talked at $1.60 gallon for a 1.5cts gain while this week delivered Northern California ethanol barge traded at $1.80 gallon for a 2.0cts gain. Prompt ethanol in Arizona traded at $1.815 gallon for a 3.0cts gain.
