Argo Spot Ethanol Prices Stabilize after Steep Fall
Spot ethanol prices at the Kinder Morgan-operated Argo hub near Chicago gained early Monday while the values of renewable credits eased.
Cash ethanol prices have stabilized after last week's sharp decline due to rising domestic production and post-summer shaky demand outlook, while the weakness for credits was underpinned by talk of extra supply of Renewable Information Numbers, trade sources said.
Prompt Argo ethanol traded at $1.85 and $1.86 per gallon, up 2.0 cents, while 2014 D6 RINs traded at 44.5 cents, down 1.0 cent for the day.
