U.S. Spot Ethanol Prices Down Monday on Easing Supply Concerns
Spot ethanol prices across the nation's major regional trade hubs traded lower Monday amid easing supply worries and pressure from falling corn futures market.
A source said product deliveries are being made after last week's logistical problems were sorted out over the weekend. Prompt ethanol at the Argo hub was bid at $2.26 per gallon and any August prices traded twice at $2.26 and $2.245 per gallon, last talked at a $2.23 to $2.25 per gallon bid/ask spread, down 5 cents. Today delivered ethanol barge at the New York Harbor was offered at $2.26 per gallon while September barges were talked at a $2.21 to $2.23 per gallon bid/ask, down 4.0 cents.
