Spot ethanol prices moved lower during afternoon trade Tuesday with some traders expecting another build in ethanol stockpiles occurred during the week ended June 13. Data released last week showed ethanol stockpiles jumped to a 15-month high at 18.42 million bbl during the prior week. Prompt ethanol at Argo hub near Chicago was discussed at $2.20 to $2.24 gal, down 1.5cts. June New York Harbor ethanol barge declined 3.0cts to a $2.18 to $2.20 gal bid/ask, while June Houston barge was seen at a $2.25 to $2.26 gal bid/ask for a 1.5cts loss.
