Spot Ethanol Prices Mostly Lower on Early Profit Taking
Spot ethanol prices were flat in New York Harbor but lower in Chicago, Texas and West Coast as traders moved to book profits following May 16's rally.
Trade volume was heavy, with paper ethanol prices also weighed down by falling Chicago Board of Trade corn futures. Today Argo transfer ethanol talked $2.36 to $2.40 per gallon bid/ask, off 6.0 cents.
Sources said today barged N.Y. Harbor ethanol was talked in a $2.31 to $2.41 per gallon bid/ask range, unchanged from the prior session, while California prompt ethanol bid $2.50 per gallon, down 9.0 cents.
