Spot Ethanol Prices Rebound in NYH, Argo Markets

Spot ethanol prices traded mixed during a thinly-traded session Friday, with Argo and New York Harbor values edging up while trades done in Chicago under Rule 11 moved lower.

With more imports expected from Brazil next month, East Coast prices could come under pressure in the coming weeks since supply at that hub has rebuilt to a 10-week high.

Prompt ethanol at Argo traded at $2.28, $2.85 and $2.29 per gallon, up 0.5 cents on the day. Chicago ethanol traded under Rule 11 for this week shipment to coastal markets was seen at $2.30 per gallon, down 3.0 cents. New York Harbor May barge traded at $2.42 gallon, up 2.0 cents.
