Argo, NYH Spot Ethanol Prices Retreat on Profit Taking
Spot ethanol prices eased in early trade on the New York Harbor and at the Kinder Morgan-operated Argo terminal near Chicago as traders booked profits, with supply worries easing. "It appears to be imports booked earlier [that are] coming, so the market is settling back to normal with some volume coming," said a trader. Argo prompt ethanol was pegged at $2.50 gallon, down 10.0 cents, while April ethanol New York Harbor barge traded at $2.35 gallon, down 1.0 cent.
