NYH, Calif. Spot Ethanol Prices Climb on Supply Concerns
Spot ethanol prices added to gains Monday amid lingering concern over tight supply in coastal markets where deliveries have been slow to arrive. Logistical woes have delayed product shipments from the Midwest to coastal markets, drawing down inventory in California and New York.
Prompt transfer ethanol at the Argo hub near Chicago was pegged at a $2.52 to $2.58 per gallon bid/ask spread, unchanged on the day, while New York Harbor prompt delivered ethanol was up 2.5 cents at a $3.55 to $3.60 per gallon bid/ask spread. Prompt delivered ethanol to northern California was talked at $3.50 per gallon, up 14.0 cents on the day.
