Improving Shipping Conditions Pressure Spot Ethanol Prices
Spot ethanol prices eased in the New York Harbor while trimming early gains at the Kinder Morgan-operated Argo terminal near Chicago amid talk product deliveries were back to normal this morning, easing supply concerns.
"Railcar prices are down, that's why," said a trader.
Prompt Argo ethanol traded at $2.25 and $2.255 per gallon for a 0.5-cent gain, with a prompt New York Harbor ethanol barge talked at a $3.08 per gallon, down 4.5 cents.
