Ethanol Delivery Woes Begin to Ease as Railcars Return
Empty ethanol rail tanker cars are making the journey back to the producing-Midwest, but are taking three times as long due to winter weather challenges, sources said.
"They've (ethanol tanker cars) just started to move as of this past weekend," said Kevin Davidson, spokesman for KAG Ethanol Logistics of Canton, Ohio. "Normally they take five days transit, and that has turned into 12 to 15 days."

He said the recent Southeast ice storms have stranded railcars in that region.
Prices edged up 1.0 cents this morning at Chicago, talked at $2.06 per gallon, but climbed 10.0 cents to $2.60 per gallon at the New York Harbor.
