U.S. spot ethanol prices across the country were little changed from Monday in slow trading activity.

"I don't think there will be anything significant happening around the market today," said an industry source this morning. "Nobody wants to be putting on too much risk. They don't want to be managing a big position at this time of year -- up all night checking markets."

"It's like a ghost-town on IM (instant messaging)," a trader commented.

Prompt ethanol at Argo hub near Chicago was talked at Monday's $2.22 per gallon price. Any-December ethanol at Argo traded at $2.20, up 1.0 cent on the session.
