Saudi Arabia's import subsidy list now includes U.S.-produced dried distillers grains with solubles, corn gluten feed and other U.S. commodities, thanks to the efforts of the U.S. Grains Council, according to an article by the Council (http://bit.ly/…).

Since inclusion on the import subsidy listen was vital to gain interest from Saudi Arabia's importers, the Council had undertaken great efforts to educate that country's feed millers, poultry and livestock producers about DDGS.

Those efforts paid off when Saudi Arabian company ARASCO purchased a bulk shipment of U.S. DDGS for delivery in January 2014. The Council's regional director in the Middle East and Africa, Cary Sifferath, said this purchase creates excellent opportunities for future U.S. exports to Saudi Arabia.
