A short squeeze at the Kinder Morgan-run Argo terminal near Chicago and in the New York Harbor boosted spot ethanol prices in early trade, with today transfer ethanol traded at $2.50 gallon, up 15 cents, while tomorrow transfer ethanol traded at $2.41 and then at $2.43 per gallon, up 6 cents on the session. Sources also said New York Harbor barged ethanol was offered without a bid at a $2.48 per gallon for prompt delivery, up 2.0 cents on the day.
