Spot Ethanol Rallies After Supply Data
Spot ethanol prices extended higher early Wednesday amid concerns about supply after federal data showed a 1.6% drawdown in total U.S. ethanol inventories and a decline in domestic production last week. In some regional hubs, like the Texas Gulf Coast and the Southeast, a lack of imports added to the supply tightness in the market over the past couple of days, said trade sources. There were no imports reported for a second straight week, federal data showed.
