Spot Ethanol Prices Trend Lower as Buying Interest Slows
Spot ethanol prices lost more ground early Tuesday partly on a lack of buying interest for prompt physical product. Trade volume slowed to a trickle, trade sources said, with most buyers sitting on the sidelines, reluctant to commit themselves ahead of federal data on supply and demand due for release at 10:30 a.m. ET Wednesday.
Prompt Argo ethanol traded at $2.525 gallon while New York Harbor f.o.b. prices traded at $2.65 gallon, down 2.0 cents and 1.5 cents, respectively.
