Spot Ethanol Prices Pressured by Forecast for Higher Supply

Spot ethanol prices fell by 1 to 3.5 cents in regional hubs early Tuesday amid speculation that federal supply data due out tomorrow would show an increase in domestic inventories for the week-ended Feb. 8. EIA also released a report today at noon ET projecting U.S. ethanol output staying near current levels of 800,000 bpd for several months before recovering in the second half of this year, averaging 852,000 bpd for 2013.
