Spot Ethanol Prices Buoyed by Short Covering, Corn Gains
Spot ethanol prices traded higher by as much as 5 cents in some regional hubs early Tuesday, boosted by short covering and rising Chicago Board of Trade grain futures, trade sources said.
Corn futures continue to find support from last Friday's federal report that showed corn supplies tighter than previously expected while raising domestic demand prospects.
"Ethanol (has) performed much better than the corn lately," said a trader.
