Spot Ethanol Prices Change Little as Supply Draw Ignored
Spot ethanol prices changed little in a thinly-traded session early Friday, despite weekly federal showing inventories came off a six-month high.
The Energy Information Administration reported total stocks fell 523,000 bbl or 2.5% to 20.315 million bbl during the week that ended Dec. 21, despite a 13,000 bbl or 1.6% increase in domestic production.
Total stocks remain 1.97 million bbl above the level seen a month ago depressing margins, trade sources said.
