Argo Spot Ethanol Down as Trades Ease Ahead of Year-End
Spot ethanol prices across the U.S. were shallowly mixed in thin trade early Monday as Chicago Board of Trade corn and ethanol future see-sawed this morning, with weak supply and demand fundamentals weighing against temptation among hedge funds to cover shorts after the market was oversold last week.
The Argo regional hub was especially quiet as "people are beginning to scale back with the end of the year approaching," said a trade source.
