Spot ethanol prices slipped in Chicago, along the East Coast and on the Gulf Coast after new data showed a steep build in ethanol inventories while implied demand fell for the week-ended Nov. 16.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration data detailed a 1.076 million bbl increase in ethanol stockpiles to 18.927 million. That reflects a 6% surge on a weekly basis while implied demand eased 13,000 bpd or 1.3% to 811,000 bpd for the week.
