U.S. spot ethanol prices continued to trend down in early trade Monday on sluggish demand and rising supply, especially imports from Brazil, trade source said.

"I think Brazil is planting a pretty big flag in the USA," said one trader. "Personally, the advanced bio fuel RIN requirement is something I'd like to see relaxed so that we can stop bringing Brazilian gallons to the U.S.," added another trader.
