U.S. spot ethanol prices moved lower in early trade Thursday after data showed weekly ethanol supplies rose, while demand eased. EIA data show ethanol stocks fell 2.4% to 19.215 million bbl for the week-ended Oct. 26, while domestic production ramped up 3.0% to 825,000 bpd last week.

East Coast supplies jumped 206,000 bbl to 7.232 million bbl, though that supply is now bottled up after Hurricane Sandy hit the New York Harbor earlier this week, knocking out power and keeping the terminals shut.
